Since starting his practice in Gainesville almost 25 years ago, Dr. Agrios has strived to stay on top of the latest in medical advances and technology. Dr. Agrios is a leading surgeon in minimally invasive robotic surgery, performing the first robotic hysterectomy at the North Florida Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Agrios’ goal is to improve the service that women receive to match those of men. He believes that minimally invasive surgery is better for patients. Women are busier than ever before and don’t have six weeks to recover from an invasive surgery, such as a hysterectomy. Minimally invasive surgery allows women to go home the same day and to be back on their feet quickly.
Dr. Agrios received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from John Hopkins University. He went on to Medical School at the University of Southern California, where he was a Dean’s Scholar, before moving to Gainesville to complete his internship and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida.
